Eleanore's 1st Birthday!

Pictures and some words. It is terrible writing, get over it.

Ellie getting ready for her 2nd attempt at cupcake eating.

The morning of her birthday, she was too excited!!

Ellie enjoyed her pickle after she ate her grilled cheese.
We didn't have a party aka I have no friends.
Here's what we did do...

We woke Ellie up in the morning and showed her all the balloons we had blown up just for her (all 10 of them) and she was SO excited. She wanted to eat them. Jeff and I both went to work and I left work at 1:15 so I could take Ellie to her 12 month check up. Everything was pretty normal, she has a huge head for her size and she is still considered tall. Her teeth are coming in nicely and her ears look a heck of a lot better, although one still has some fluid in it. The bad news: she is too skinny. We now have to make sure she is consuming more calories and even started her on carnation breakfast to get the extra calories she needs even when she refuses to eat. The doctor says she needs to be over 20 pounds by her 15 month checkup; we will see if we can make it!!!
For Christmas, I received a $50 gift card to Rick's Chophouse (a fancy restaurant downtown where Jeff and I had our wedding reception) and we couldn't use it for Valentine's Day so we decided it was a perfect birthday dinner!! Ellie was a bit crabby since she had 3 shots, but she ate THE BEST grilled cheese sandwich and received some free ice cream!!! We then came home and Skyped with my mom and dad so they could sing her happy birthday and watch her eat her birthday cupcake.

P.S. I was too lazy to make the monkey cake I wanted to so I plan on making that for Valentine's Day.
